Painting at the Moulin
For the second year running, we are pleased to welcome two talented artists (Tineke Demmer & Marthe Koetsier) to the Moulin for a week. They will lead a class while enjoying the comfort of the Moulin and its beautiful surroundings alongside their students.
What does a typical day look like? Mornings start with breakfast with the other students, then the course begins. Some sessions take place in the Moulin, with a bit of theory, and others out in the garden or the fields, putting what you’ve learned into practice. Lunch is served on the terrace, maybe with a glass of local wine. In the afternoon, painting continues, with guidance as you need it, and the day ends with a freshly cooked group dinner. Everything moves at a gentle pace; just the right rhythm for a creative holiday.

Wine at the Moulin
France is an incredible destination for wine lovers. Regions like Bordeaux, Bourgogne, and Provence are famous the world over, and for good reason.
But the Loire Valley, and especially our own region of Centre-Val de Loire, has a lot to offer as well. Here you’ll find a wonderful mix of well-known appellations and smaller, lesser-known AOCs that are often a real surprise. One of the pleasures of staying at the Moulin is that we are ideally located to explore several of these wine regions and to really taste the differences between them.
That’s why we offer wine weekends (or longer stays) for small groups of friends, family, or colleagues. We take care of everything: breakfast and dinner at the Moulin, and each day a visit to a different wine region, with a few carefully chosen domaines to discover. Lunch is organised locally along the way. And because we drive you everywhere, you can relax and enjoy the tastings without worrying about getting back.
There is no fixed programme. Every group is different. Do you prefer white or red? Classic wines or something more unusual? Are you interested in food pairings or local cheeses? Let us know what you enjoy, and we’ll put together a programme that fits you.

Looking for a place to bring everyone together?

Our Moulin can be rented for family gatherings, celebrations, or small private events. We can accommodate up to 15 guests in our chambre d’hôtes, with space for a further 15 guests on our scenic campsite. If you need additional accommodation, we’re happy to help arrange nearby options through our local contacts.

Thanks to our experience as a table d’hôtes, we can offer a range of dining possibilities, from relaxed lunches and barbecues to more formal, plated dinners or celebratory banquets, depending on the occasion.

The Moulin offers complete privacy for your group, surrounded by nature, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed and memorable gathering.
We are easy to reach by car (with free parking on site) or by public transport via the train stations of Bourges and Saint-Amand-Montrond–Orval.
